Have you ever made your own popsicles? If you ask me, they can be even better than store-bought popsicles. These delightful treats are incredibly simple to make, requiring just three ingredients. Here’s how you can whip up a batch of these nutritious and tasty popsicles for your family, whether it’s for an after-school snack or a hot day.
Berry Yogurt Popsicles
Ingredients:
- 2 cups (280g) berries of your choice
- 2 cups vanilla Greek yogurt (or any flavor)
- 2 tablespoons honey or agave (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Berries: If your berries are fresh, start by washing them thoroughly. You can use any berries you like—strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or a mix of your favorites.
- Blend the Ingredients: In a blender or food processor, combine the berries and honey or agave. Blend until you have a smooth puree. If you prefer a chunkier texture, pulse the mixture a few times instead of blending it completely smooth.
- Combine with Yogurt: In a mixing bowl, combine the berry puree with the Greek yogurt. Stir until the mixture is well combined. If you want a swirl effect in your popsicles, you can gently fold the puree into the yogurt instead of mixing it completely.
- Fill the Molds: Pour the mixture into popsicle molds, filling each mold almost to the top. If you don’t have popsicle molds, small paper cups and wooden sticks can work as a great alternative.
- Freeze: Insert the popsicle sticks into the molds and place them in the freezer. Allow the popsicles to freeze for at least 4 hours, or until they are completely solid.
- Enjoy: Once frozen, remove the popsicles from the molds and enjoy! If they’re difficult to remove, run the molds under warm water for a few seconds to loosen them up.
