Valentine’s Day is all about love, and what better way to celebrate it than to do all the things your family loves? We call it “We Love to Be a Family Day.”
This tradition is FREE, easy, and requires almost no prep. It’s a simple handmade map that promises a day full of laughter and bonding–sign me up! All you need is a poster or brown paper bag, some colorful paper, and a dash of enthusiasm.
Step 1: Prepping the “We Love To Be A Family” Map
Cut out 5-6 paper hearts in Valentine’s colors. Grab a poster or cut up a giant brown paper bag to make a large paper surface.
These ingredients will create your “We Love to Be a Family Day”, ready to unveil the surprise activities!
Step 2: Selecting Surprise Activities
Write a surprise activity on each paper heart. These are activities that your family loves to do together. Tape them to the poster or bag.
Either number the hearts in the order you’d like to do them, or let everyone take turns choosing hearts to make the order of activities a surprise.
Ideas for Family Activities
Here are seven delightful activities that are always a hit with our family:
